IDESA Certification Pathways

IDESA offers the following professional certification pathways to members of good standing –

Q1: Can I enroll for certification examinations straightaway?

The certification examinations will be available from August 1, 2020.

Q2: Which membership classes can apply for certification?

Certification is open to all membership classes – that is to Associate, Professional and Fellow classes.

Q3: How will I be assessed for certification?

Assessment for each pathway is via a single online certification exam.

Certification exams will feature international and locale-contextualized practitioner-based content

Q4: Does IDESA provide any training and support for certification exams?

Formal certification training programs and study material will be made available at an additional cost.

Q5: What is the cost of certification?

The registration cost for a certification exam is provisionally $199.

Q6: Is re-certification needed, and if so, how often?

Re-certification is required every 2 years, to keep pace with technological advances.

Q7: Are the IDESA certifications recognized or accredited by any qualifications bodies?

All IDESA professional certifications will be UK ATHE-endorsed.

Note: ATHE (Awards for Training and Higher Education) is a United Kingdom Ofqual-approved qualifications body, licensed to award accredited professional and vocational qualifications in the UK, and worldwide. Formal ATHE endorsement of IDESA certifications ensures that they are recognized and accepted internationally. All issued certificates and transcripts will indicate endorsement by the ATHE and carry relevant trade-marks.
